俗话说的好,“吃一顿少一顿”,错过一餐就少一餐咯。

小编在此呼吁:早餐这么重要的事情,千万不要忽略啊~~~

那么今天要介绍的早餐是大名鼎鼎的全套早餐——Full Breakfast。(通常指在英格兰的full English breakfast,即全英式早餐,在英国其他地方的可叫full Irish breakfast,full Scottish breakfast,full Welsh breakfast,即,全爱尔兰/苏格兰/威尔士早餐)

英国戏剧家萨默塞特·毛姆(Somerset Maugham)曾说过,“要在英国吃得好,就应该一天吃三顿早餐。”

英国的食物和我天朝美食大国比起来,确实逊色不少,毛姆的这话似乎在肯定了英国早餐的同时含沙射影地否定了英国的其他食物……

言归正传,全套早餐确实不仅是英国人民最引以为傲的美食之一,也是深受世界各地人民的喜爱的。

那么什么才能称为一份全套早餐(full breakfast)呢?这“一套”里面都包含了哪些食物呢?自己想动手的话,应该怎么做呢?

Throughout Britain and Ireland, the Full breakfast is famous. It is not now eaten every day but saved for weekends and vacations. The term full comes from the fact the breakfast is, well, full of different food stuff as you can read about below. Full Breakfast is served, as you would expect at breakfast time but is also popular at throughout the day, often replacing lunch. Rarely is it eaten every day of the week, reserved instead for the weekend or on vacation in hotels and Bed and Breakfasts, where no stay would be complete without one.

The Full breakfast is famous. It is the perfect weekend breakfast indulgence. It really is a FULL breakfast in every sense of the word! While the precise ingredients vary from place to place, some common choices include fried eggs, sausages, bacon, toast, beans, grilled tomato, fried mushrooms, fried potatoes, and black and/or white pudding.

Ingredients 材料

·2 large free range eggs 两个打鸡蛋

·6 tbsp single cream or full cream milk 6汤匙单一奶油或全奶油牛奶

·a knob of butter一块黄油

Method 方法

1.Lightly whiskthe eggs, cream and a pinch of salt together until the mixture has just one consistency. 轻轻将鸡蛋,奶油或奶和少许盐一起搅拌,完全混在一起。

2.Heat a small non-stick frying panfor a minute or so, then add the butter and let it melt. Don’t allow the butter to brown or it will discolour the eggs. 加热一个小型不粘的煎锅一分钟左右,然后加入黄油融化。不要让黄油变棕,否则会使蛋变色。

3.Pour in the egg mixture and let it sit, without stirring, for 20 seconds. Stir with a wooden spoon, lifting and folding it over from the bottom of the pan. 倒入鸡蛋混合物,等待20秒,不要搅拌。用木勺搅拌,从锅底提起并折叠起来。

4.Let it sit for another 10 seconds then stir and fold again. 再等10秒,然后再搅拌和折叠。
